How? You ask!

The Wii is pretty much storage-less at the moment, so could this mean the appearance of an external hard drive peripheral from Nintendo, or will SD cards be enough to handle the content.

The title is set to hit the shelves mid-November so more information is expected soon.

Thanks to the compatibility of the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk, a whole new dimension has been added to Dancing Stage: Hottest Party. Total body interaction is now possible during the game using the twin controllers and it is now possible to have four-player simultaneous play to really get everyone involved. It is also possible to send obstacles to rival players in the Battle Mode using the Wii Remote and a well placed swipe!

We’ll see in the next 24 hours. The rumour that is currently setting the internet alight is that Google are about to step into the games publishing arena with the purchase of Valve and their glorious Steam system.

Valve marketing boss Doug Lombardi said in an interview August that the studio would be ‘happy to discuss an acquisition’ with potential buyers.

Who better than Google?

We remain a little dubious here at WiiNation but we’ll see.

It truly is a mad, mad world. The Wii console certainly has never seen anything like this. Nintendos’ family oriented user base will be well and truly split over the arrival of Platinum Games’ Frank Miller styled roaming beat-em-up.

Madworld is slated for a 2009 release and we’ll be keeping a watch on this title. From the content on show in the Leipzig trailer there is some serious bloody spillage, all in the name of fun of course.

This is a brave more from Sega to sign up this title for the Wii. Platinum Games chose to launch exclusively on the Wii system due to it’s accessible pick up and play feel. Nothing to do with generating publicity of course.

Wii certainly needs more titles in this action genre, but with maybe a tad less blood and gore.

Still, the style looks bloody good.
You just have to beat Alan Hansen to it!

Yours is the familiar task of lobbing squashy balls at unguarded legs in order to eliminate players from the opposing team. However, special moves like Shuriken Attacks and Peg-Leg Stomps can be used to gain the upper hand.

Content in the Wii version appears to be unaltered, and visually it stands up well against the Live version.

Just remember to keep your Wii Remote strapped on tight!

The game is actually a sequel to Nintendo’s NES family trainer series, so this is really, nothing new.
Family Trainer features a plug-in mat, as opposed to Wii Fits wireless balance board, and is more akin to a dance mat than anything else.
The interaction between mat and game is all to do with timing of your steps and the challenges are more like rhythm-action games than a serious exercise program.
It’s obviously aimed at being more fun than serious, there are multiplayer modes and a large collection of mini-games to play including boarding, canoeing, skating and others.
This is due for a UK release later this year, so keep your eyes peeled.
